GEKO Valves & Controls Showcases Hydrogen Valve Solutions at CIHC 2026 in Beijing

March 30, 2026

GEKO Valves & Controls participated in CIHC 2026 in Beijing, showcasing control valves, ball valves, butterfly valves and cryogenic valve solutions for hydrogen production, storage, transportation and refueling applications.

From March 23 to 27, 2026, GEKO Valves & Controls participated in CIHC 2026 activities in Beijing, with the official exhibition held from March 25 to 27 at the China National Convention Center. As one of the key events in China’s fast-growing hydrogen sector, CIHC 2026 brought together companies, technology providers, and industry professionals from across the hydrogen value chain, creating an important platform for technical exchange, market cooperation, and business development.

CIHC, the China International Hydrogen Congress & Expo, has become an influential event for the hydrogen industry in Asia. The exhibition focuses on the complete hydrogen ecosystem, including hydrogen production, storage, transportation, refueling, and end-use applications. With strong participation from domestic and international companies, the show highlights the rapid development of hydrogen energy and its growing role in the global clean energy transition.

At the exhibition, GEKO Valves & Controls presented its valve and automation solutions relevant to hydrogen applications. As a professional industrial valve manufacturer with more than 60 years of expertise, GEKO provides a broad product portfolio that includes control valves, ball valves, butterfly valves, gate valves, globe valves, check valves, cryogenic valves, instrument valves, actuators, and control accessories. These products are designed to support safe, efficient, and reliable fluid control in demanding industrial environments.

Hydrogen applications place strict requirements on valve performance. Because hydrogen is highly flammable, light in molecular weight, and sensitive to leakage, hydrogen systems require accurate pressure regulation, reliable shut-off performance, durable materials, and strong sealing capability. In many hydrogen projects, valves are not only used for basic isolation, but also for precise control of flow, pressure, and temperature throughout the process.

GEKO’s solutions for hydrogen energy are closely aligned with these needs. Its globe control valves are suitable for precise flow and pressure regulation in electrolyzers, hydrogen reactors, and fuel cell supply lines. Its modulating ball valves combine tight shut-off with stable control performance, making them suitable for high-pressure hydrogen pipelines and process systems. For larger pipeline systems, butterfly control valves offer a compact and cost-effective option for flow regulation. In addition, GEKO’s cryogenic valve solutions are relevant to low-temperature hydrogen service, where safe sealing and reliable operation are critical.

Another important strength of GEKO is its capability in valve automation and customized engineering. Hydrogen projects often require integrated solutions that combine valves, pneumatic or electric actuators, positioners, solenoid valves, limit switches, and other accessories. GEKO can provide customized flow control and automation packages based on different operating conditions, helping customers improve safety, process stability, and system efficiency.

Typical hydrogen-related applications for GEKO products include hydrogen production plants, hydrogen storage systems, hydrogen fueling stations, fuel cell systems, and high-pressure hydrogen transmission lines. In these scenarios, valve reliability directly affects system safety, operational continuity, and maintenance cost. For this reason, end users increasingly look for valve suppliers that can deliver not only standard products, but also application-oriented technical support.

By participating in CIHC 2026, GEKO Valves & Controls further demonstrated its commitment to the hydrogen energy market and its ability to support the development of cleaner and more advanced energy infrastructure. As the hydrogen industry continues to expand, GEKO will keep focusing on high-performance valve and control solutions that help customers achieve safer operation, better efficiency, and long-term reliability.
